SCHEDULE

  • September, 2008: Blackwell Island RV Park, Lake Coeur d' Alene, Idaho (Sept. 15-20). Western States/Cascaders are putting this one on.

  • October, 2008: Tucalota Springs Rally, (Oct. 3-5, 2008) Tucalota Springs RV Resort, Sage (right next to Temecula), CA Your Host: Chuck Botts

They have 3 clubhouses, horseshoes, fishing lake, volleyball, hayrides, swimming pool and more. It is just a dozen or so miles off of I-15 at Rancho California Rd in the foothills east of Temecula. Your Hosts: Chuck and Mary Botts.

  • November, 2008: Columbia (Oct. 30-Nov. 2) Columbia, State Park, CA. This is a 49er Ranch just this side of Sonora off of hwy 49. Park Information Beautiful country and very lovely people. Your Hosts: Fin and Mary Beven.

As you may all know, this is a beautiful spot in the Sierra foothills along the scenic Highway 49. The scenery along 49 is great, from here all the way north to Grass Valley.

We have made reservations for 20 GMCs at the 49er Ranch, but do not want to leave anyone out. The per-day prices will be comparable to our other events. We are considering an early-reservation deposit of $100 to "lock in" your reservation. This is a popular destination, so adding more spaces will become more-and-more difficult.

Because of the distance involved from SoCal, the campground will be open to us from Thursday through Sunday. And, as Mary and I generally like to break up long driving days, we will probably leave Pasadena Wednesday afternoon (the 29th) and stop someplace in between. One spot that has worked well for us is (if you can believe this) the Pixley RV Resort. Resort Information Well, "resort" is a bit of a streeeeetch, but it does have a pool, a jauzzi, and a decent Mexican restaurant (El Serape) just a block away. Pixley is about 3 hours north of Pasadena, leaving another drive of 3.5 hours from there to Columbia.

Entertainment: During our rally the play "The Big Bang" will be playing in Columbia.

It is described as ... "80 minutes of madcap music and camp, and no pesky redeeming values." They have a 2pm matinee on Saturday, and evening shows at 8pm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The tickets are approximately $25 per person.

  • December, 2008: Tamale Festival, Indio, CA (Dec. 5-7, 2008) Indian Wells RV Park, Indio, CA. Hosted by Pat and Sharon Cerrina .

  • January, 2009: Quartzite, AZ - "World's Largest Swap Meet" (January 16-23, 2009) - Dry camping on BLM land near all the action.

Rally Masters Wanted. Lots of help will be given, but we need YOU!
